at least, that's what the thumbnail of the plans on ebay indicate.Īlso the Royal logo is printed on the plan. It seems that the Royal plans have -next to the wing and fuselage drawing- also all pieces printed. The thumbnail of these plans indicates that these are somewhat different from the plans I have. I want to start building -)Īs anyone maybe already scanned their pieces before building the kit, and would like to share these files?Įdit: I added -Electric ScratchBuilding- to the thread title, as it is clear now that the kit itself will not be built, but only plans and parts used for a conversion to electric.Īfter searching for a while on the net, Ifound a set of plans on ebay. Therefore I am not sure if I want to open the sealed bags to duplicate the pieces. After reading about the Marutaka kits for a while I understand these are rather rare and difficult to find. So I would not use the kit to build a model from, but only use it to create a duplicate kit from, but lighter. I was thinking of building a lighter version and for that was about to take all balsa pieces and use them as a template to cut out pieces from lighter balsa (or even depron foam).

Just got the plans back from the copy center today. I am contempleting to convert this kit to electric power.

I just recently bought a Marutaka F4U-1DCorsair kit from a club member, who had it laying around for years.Īll small pieces are still sealed in their plastic bags, larger pieces are still residing in the die-cut balsa planks.
